Keeping the Faith; Never losing Hope; Always Loving

A life group is simply a place for us to grow closer to God and closer to each other through fellowship, study of the scriptures, and sharing God’s love with the world around us.  For when we grow closer to God and closer to each other we experience LIFE, and when we experience LIFE, we want to share it with others because we learn that the way of Jesus is the best possible way to live.

LIfe Groups are so much more than just a bible study.  Life groups bring together a total experience that provides a safe environment for us to journey together through life.  Are we going to study the scriptures?  Yes; for it is in the scriptures that God’s grace will guide and shape our lives.  We want our study to be a safe place for us to explore our faith (or lack of).  We do not claim to have it all figured out and we realize that this journey is a life long process.  So whether you are a seasoned believer or just curious about this guy named Jesus you are welcome to continue your journey within this life group.  Not only will we study the scriptures, but we will spend intentional time building authentic relationships with each other that are grounded in the love of Christ.  We will not only study the scriptures to gain knowledge but we will study to allow God’s grace to empower us to put what we learn into action within the world around us.  In taking action we are actually bringing life to a world that so desperately needs to experience the love of God in a practical way.  To study the scriptures and not allow what we learn to change the way we live is like preparing a five course meal only to throw it all away.  God desires so much more than for us to be able to memorize scripture.  God would rather us live the scripture by loving the world to heaven than be able to recite one verse of the bible.  The scriptures are a tool that equip us to carry on God’s mission in the world.  Without the study of scripture we are not able to offer the world anything different than what it already has, but through the study of scripture we are equipped to offer the world LIFE!

The purpose of our group is to come together and allow God’s word to shape and inspire our lives that we may be shaped and changed to be ( or become for the first time) more committed followers of Jesus by growing closer to God and to each other. Anyone interested in accepting, exploring and pursuing God’s invitation into the best possible way to live should be a part of this group!
