Trust: "Having a foundation that endures forever"

Psalm 125:1-2 “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.”

What wonderful timing for my life today; what a great reminder that I am surrounded with the abiding grace of Jesus Christ, that regardless of my circumstance I am surrounded by a grace that assures me I will not be shaken but through Christ I will endure forever. Sometimes it is so easy for me to forget that I am not on my own but that I have the protection and provision of the almighty God around me. As I continue this work today, I need this assurance that regardless of what happens today and regardless of what attacks evil brings my way that I am surrounded by Jesus Christ. His blood covers me the way the mountains guard Jerusalem and through His blood I have victory in my life. I am confident today not in my ability to achieve what is possible, but I am confident today that through Jesus Christ I am able to experience the impossible. I am confident today that I am taking on an impossible task but I am more confident that I belong to a God that specializes in doing the impossible.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today fully aware of my inability to start this church. There is absolutely no way that I am going to be able to achieve this task. Perhaps my despair comes from this truth and knowing that I am incapable of doing this. Which means there is only one option, you have to step in and do what is impossible. Crossroads will never be born unless you step in and become the architect. I surrender myself before you today and pray that you would cover me (us) with your grace and give us the assurance that we can trust you to be who you claim to be. Give us the grace to stay the course and not be shaken but be confident that you will deliver the way you have promised. May this be your vision and your heart; give us the grace to follow and listen to you. I stand in the center of the valley today proclaiming that you are at work and trusting that regardless of the circumstance I am trusting you and that through your grace I (we) cannot be shaken. Amen!!!

The foundation I am upon today and surrounded by is one that cannot be shaken but will endure forever.
