Living a life of redemption

Posted: September 22, 2008 in grace, preaching

Today i am headed to preach at a church in West Virginia that was instrumental in praying me through the hell of my life.  This church never gave up on me but lived out their baptism to bring me before the Lord in prayer as I was swimming with the pigs.  I come back there this evening to proclaim the gospel and as I preach my very presence is proof of God’s transforming grace and answers to prayer for all who will be there.  What a wonderful gift that Jesus would give me by allowing me to preach there this evening.  I’m humbled that this God who saved me is so intimately involved in my life; I’m overwhelmed by this grace that continues to work in my life in spite of me.  I thank Jesus today for this gift and the promise of new life.  I pray tonight would be a night that Jesus is glorified and lives are transformed.
